JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Our client is urgently looking for the qualified Boilermaker to start working ASAP. Unitrans requires the services of reputable Boilermaker. You may apply before deadline in case you are interested and have required qualifications as short-listed below.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant wishing to apply for this job must meet the following qualifications;
- Must have recognised Boilermaker Trade Test (Red Seal or equivalent)
- Must have 3–5 years’ experience in a workshop, mining, logistics, or heavy engineering environment
- Must have demonstrated experience in welding, fabrication, structural repairs, and heavy vehicle or trailer maintenance.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
The applicant must have the following skills and competences
- Must have advanced welding and metal fabrication skills
- Must have structural repair and inspection capability
- Must have ability to read and interpret technical and engineering drawings
- Must have manual and power tool proficiency.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will have to implement the following duties but not limited to:
- To fabricate, cut, shape, align, and assemble iron and steel plates, tubing, and structural components in accordance with approved technical drawings and specifications
- To perform welding activities using arc welding equipment, torches, and plasma cutters to produce structurally sound components
- To manufacture and assemble trailer components including bin frames, subframes, bin doors, grabs, and loader push pillars
- To align and assemble metal frames, plate sections, and welded structures to ensure dimensional accuracy and stability
- To install pre-fabricated components and assemblies, ensuring correct fit, function, and structural integrity
- To ensure all fabricated and assembled components meet required operational, quality, and safety standards.
