JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Our client is urgently looking for the qualified Financial Accountant to start working ASAP. TWK Agri requires the services of reputable Financial Accountant. You may apply before deadline in case you are interested and have required qualifications as short-listed below.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant wishing to apply for this job must meet the following qualifications;
- Must have Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Must have 3–5 years’ post-articles experience in a financial or accounting environment
- Having Professional designation will be advantageous, e.g. AG(SA), SAIPA, or CA(SA)
- Must have strong proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
The applicant must have the following skills and competences
- Must have strong analytical, problem-solving, communication skills and attention to detail.
- Must have ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Must have understanding of the industry and its financial dynamics
- Must have strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Must have valid driver’s license (Code 08)
- Must be willing to travel.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will have to implement the following duties but not limited to:
- To prepare monthly and quarterly reports
- To ensure accurate recording and classification of financial transactions
- To support month-end and year-end closing processes
- To compile and analyse financial data for reporting
- To review financial statements for accuracy and compliance
- To maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- To conduct regular general ledger audits and resolve discrepancies
- To ensure accuracy of accounting data through proper transaction recording
- To support budget and forecast preparation
- To monitor budgets and provide variance analysis
- To collaborate with departments on budget requirements.
