JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Our client is urgently looking for the qualified Fuel Station Manager to start working ASAP. VKB Group requires the services of reputable Fuel Station Manager. You may apply before deadline in case you are interested and have required qualifications as short-listed below.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant wishing to apply for this job must meet the following qualifications;
- Must have Grade 12/ NQF 4
- Must have Code EB drivers’ license
- Having relevant tertiary qualification will be an advantage
- Must have minimum of 5 years management experience within a fuel environment including fast food restaurant management.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
The applicant must have the following skills and competences
- Must have exceptional interpersonal skills
- Must have marketing skills
- Must have ability to establish and maintain long term business relationships
- Must be willing to work after hours as and when required based on operational requirements
- Must have intermediate to Advanced Computer skills
- Must have clear criminal record
- Must be able to provide proven track record of previous experience in management role.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will have to implement the following duties but not limited to:
- Financial management of business unit, actively striving to continuously contribute towards reaching and exceeding turnover goals and net profits and at the same time limit the cost of capital
- Stock management within the VKB Group framework, including but not limited to the effective management of shortages and expired stock
- Actively managing Deli items, ensuring quality and availability of stock at all times
- General management to ensure all VKB Policies are applied
- Excellent customer service including solving of queries and complaints and escalate unresolved issues as a matter of urgency
- To ensure business unit comply with all relevant legislation
- Drafting, coordination and implementation of shift schedules on a daily and weekly basis, to ensure overtime is kept to a minimum
- To ensure that the fuel station and premises complies with all relevant legislation as well as policies and procedures
- Maintaining ongoing thorough housekeeping of a high standard in respect of the station, deli, premises and buildings
- Ongoing liaison with internal departments related to product standards, service and quality aspects.
