JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Our client is urgently looking for the qualified Heavy Motor Vehicle Driver to start working ASAP. Unitrans requires the services of reputable Heavy Motor Vehicle Driver. You may apply before deadline in case you are interested and have required qualifications as short-listed below.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant wishing to apply for this job must meet the following qualifications;
- Must have Matric/Grade 12 or relevant experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
The applicant must have the following skills and competences
- Must have Code 10, Valid PrDP – PrDP “D” if required to operate Dangerous Goods
- Must have 3 years’ experience in the same position
- Must own reliable transport to and from work
- Must be medically Fit
- Must have clear criminal record.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will have to implement the following duties but not limited to:
- To prepare vehicles for a trip
- Loading and Offloading
- To operate heavy duty vehicles
- To perform vehicle inspection before and after the trip
- To handle documentation from dispatch to the customer and back to the distribution Centre
- Prepared to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
- Account for all the goods that are being transported to the customer
- Takes full responsibility for the roadworthiness of the vehicle when leaving the Depot
- All other reasonable instructions from Supervisor – Safe driving record and clean criminal record.
