JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Our client is urgently looking for the qualified Merchandiser to start working ASAP. Dis-Chem Pharmacies Limited requires the services of reputable Merchandiser. You may apply before deadline in case you are interested and have required qualifications as short-listed below.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant wishing to apply for this job must meet the following qualifications;
- Must have Matric (Grade 12)
- Must have up to 6 months’ retail experience
- Must be Computer literate – MS Office
- Must be willing and able to work retail hours.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
The applicant must have the following skills and competences
- Must have strong command of the English language
- Must be presentable
- Must have effective engagement with customers, management and staff
- Must have trustworthy and honest
- Time management.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will have to implement the following duties but not limited to:
- To report all price discrepancies to management
- To keep abreast of current and new products
- To ensure merchandising displays are built, faced up, stocked and maintained
- To maintain daily physical upkeep of store and merchandise displays, and be responsible for your designated stock in the storeroom as well as on the shop floor
- To assist with loading and off-loading of stock
- To ensure items without barcodes are clearly marked
- To assist with back shopping
- To assist in training of new staff
- To provide friendly, helpful and courteous assistance and advice to all customers
- To ensure all out of stock queries from customers are followed up with the customer service out of stock list
- To ensure all customer stock queries are dealt with and resolved
- To ensure the correct uniform and badge are worn at all times
- To minimize any losses by handling all merchandise carefully.
